The Lord Jesus Christ, and the bread and the fish.

John 6:5-9

King James Version

5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

a lad = a little boy. Greek. paidarion. App-108. The “baker boy”,
with his basket of barley-loaves, is still to be seen where people congregate.

The symbolism with the bread is the truth that comes from God The Lord Christ was providing (Luke 4:4 kjv ).

John 6:48-51 King James Version

48 I am that bread of life.49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

(That, He is That Messiah who God sent us to save us. John 3:16 kjv. )

The fish is symbolic of Christianity with cipher. What I recall is Christ didn’t Himself feed the multitude. He provided the truth or the bread which He did Multiply in the miracle.

However He instructed His disciples to distribute, the food. I think that’s a important part to note. Everyone was instructed to sit down in groups divided into fifty each. The baskets He told them what it meant. They were symbolic of the Doctrines, of the scribes and Pharisees their false traditions. And so it is today that we’re instructed to be aware of these false teachings, from even Christian churches (Matthew 24:5-8 kjv) and they deceive many.

You have to know the trees and the fruit that they produce. Corrupt trees will not produce good fruit neither will good trees produce corrupt fruit.. Therefore by their fruits you shall know them. By taking that fruit from thee Vine.

A deeper connotation is whenever you have a large Gathering of people and they’re mulling over the truth. You’re always going to have them producing fragments. Which are the false doctrines. When man touches bread or fish , what happens? It produces crumbs. Those crumbs or fragments are those false doctrines much more than the original bread that was given by Christ or God

And its interesting to know how the fish became a symbol for Christianity. The Fish Cipher comes from the Greek word for fish, “Ichthys” or “Iχθύς,” which early Christians used as an acronym for “Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, Θεοῦ Υἱός, Σωτήρ,” translating as “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.” Each letter in ‘Ichthys’ stands for:

Iota (i) from Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς), Greek for “Jesus.”

Chi (ch) from Christos (Χριστός), Greek for “anointed” (or Christ).

Theta (th) from Theou (Θεοῦ), Greek for “God’s”, the genitive case of Θεóς, Theos, Greek for “God.”

Upsilon (y) from (h)yios4, Greek for “Son.”

Sigma (s) from sōtēr (Σωτήρ), Greek for “Savior.”

This acronym was a covert, sign for early Christians to identify each other without risking persecution by the Romans. One might lean over to write in the sand, a picture of a fish. The other Christian may also form the fish, and they compete the cipher subtly together. Thus revealing their identity to one another.

‌We already mentioned the miracle of the feeding of the multitude :(Matthew 14:15-21, Mark 6:35-44, Luke 9:12-17, John 6:5-13). But there’s more to that.

The Lord Jesus called His disciples to become “fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19),‌Remember the preparation of a breakfast of fish for His disciples to eat, after His resurrection? (John 21:1-14).

Then , there is the event of of Jonah in the belly of a fish for three days and three nights was used by Jesus as a prophecy of His resurrection (Matthew 12:38-41; Jonah 1:17 kjv). This association with death and resurrection reinforces the themes of sacrifice and new life central to the Christian faith in, The Lord Yeshua Christ and His teachings.
